1. Vintage with Passion
At JLounge Copenhagen, we specialise in carefully selected vintage finds.
All furniture undergoes individual and gentle preparation, light restoration, and adjustments – always with respect for the design, age, and patina.
We begin this process immediately after your order is placed – and by completing your purchase, you accept this procedure.
2. Booking Pickup or Delivery
At JLounge Copenhagen, pickup and delivery are scheduled via our online booking calendar, making it easy for you to choose the time that suits you best.
This applies to both JLounge Collect (self-pickup) and delivery.
For self-pickup, same-day collection is often possible depending on the item's preparation status.
Bookings are valid once confirmed by us. We reserve the right for double bookings, delays, or special circumstances – but always do our best to find a solution that works for you.
You will receive an order confirmation by email with all relevant details.
3. Right of Withdrawal and Returns
According to the Danish Consumer Agreement Act §18, section 2, no. 3, the right of withdrawal does not apply to furniture purchases, as each piece is prepared and restored specifically for you.
However, we offer a 14-day return policy on smaller items shipped via parcel post – provided the item is returned in the same condition and quantity.
Return shipping is at the customer’s expense, and delivery costs are non-refundable.
4. Partial Withdrawal at Delivery (Furniture)
As an added service, we offer the option to inspect the furniture upon delivery.
If you choose to cancel at that moment, the following fees will be deducted:
– Storkøbenhavn: 299 DKK delivery + 299 DKK return
– Rest of Sjælland: 499 DKK delivery + 499 DKK return
– Other parts of Denmark: Contact us for a quote
If cancelled upon delivery, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the furniture can be returned in the same condition and that access allows for safe handling.
Once the item is approved and accepted at delivery, the transaction is final – including acceptance of its vintage condition.
5. Buy Now or Reserve – Two Ways to Shop
At JLounge Copenhagen, you can choose between two ways to secure your next vintage piece:
A) Buy Now
Purchase the piece immediately and pay in full. We will then begin the preparation and restoration process, and the item will be marked as RESERVED across all our platforms.
B) Reserve
Alternatively, you can reserve the item by paying a non-refundable reservation fee. This guarantees the item is removed from sale and preparation begins.
Ideal if you need more time before collection or a final decision – and the amount will be deducted from your final payment.
Reservation fees (excluding delivery costs):
– 300 DKK → Self-pickup
– 600 DKK → Delivery within Storkøbenhavn
– 1,000 DKK → Delivery outside Storkøbenhavn
The reservation fee is non-refundable in case of later cancellation, as the item is made unavailable and work has begun.
6. Pickup, Delivery and Storage
Pickup or delivery must occur within 5 business days of ordering unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If the deadline is exceeded, a storage fee of 250 DKK per week applies.
After 14 days without pickup or agreement, the order is considered cancelled, and both the reservation and storage fees will be deducted.
Delivery is typically to curbside or the nearest accessible location – unless otherwise agreed.
Carrying assistance and indoor delivery are only offered by special agreement.
7. Business Purchases (CVR)
When purchasing as a business with a VAT number, all rights of withdrawal and return are void.
All CVR transactions are considered B2B agreements and are binding.
8. Vintage Character, Function and Maintenance
At JLounge Copenhagen, we deal in vintage – typically pieces that are 40, 60, or even 80 years old.
With age comes natural signs of use, patina, and materials that may be more delicate than new.
Minor repairs or modifications may have been made by previous owners over time. These are part of the item’s life and cannot be considered faults or defects. JLounge Copenhagen is not liable for this.
We do not guarantee the function of lamps, electrical parts, mechanical components, or similar.
We provide no guarantees – but always strive to ensure each item is in beautiful vintage condition upon delivery.
Vintage furniture requires gentle use and regular care – but in return, you get something that can't be bought new:
Design with history, soul, and character.
9. Contact and Viewing
You are always welcome to reach out before purchasing – we are happy to answer questions, send more photos, or share details about provenance.
If you would like to see the item, you can request a private viewing at our Copenhagen warehouse (by appointment only).

10. VAT and Invoicing
JLounge Copenhagen is registered under the Danish margin scheme for second-hand goods.
This means VAT is not added or specified separately.
Invoices are issued according to this scheme and are not eligible for VAT deduction.
11. Payment and Transactions
We offer the following payment methods:
– Credit/Debit Cards (Dankort, Visa, Mastercard)
– MobilePay (online or manual transfer)
– Cash on pickup
Note: We do not provide change for cash payments – please bring the exact amount.
For online purchases, you can choose to pay the full amount immediately by card or MobilePay.
Card payments are charged when the order is completed unless otherwise stated during checkout.
To reserve an item instead of buying immediately, complete checkout and choose "Manual Payment (MobilePay)" at the final step.
Instructions and the exact reservation amount will be displayed. Once payment is received, the item will be marked as RESERVED, and preparation will begin.
The reservation amount is of course deducted from your final payment at pickup or delivery.
12. Disclaimer – Errors and Availability
We reserve the right for typographical errors, inventory discrepancies, and price changes.
As our items are unique and sold on multiple platforms, an item may be sold before the system updates.
If this happens, we will contact you as soon as possible with a solution.
13. Complaints
If you wish to file a complaint, please contact us directly at jl@jlounge.dk.
Consumers may also submit a complaint via www.forbrug.dk
or the EU’s Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/odr
14. Customs, Duties, and Taxes
All international orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, and other fees as required by the destination country. These costs are not included in the product or shipping price and remain the sole responsibility of the buyer.
15. Damage Reporting and Responsibility
In case of damage, we are happy to assist, but the customer must provide clear photographic documentation of the package both before and after unpacking and report the damage immediately to the local shipping provider.
We cannot assist if the customer has attempted to repair, disassemble, or modify the product after receipt. This applies especially to lamps or other technical items, where we also consider whether the customer declined our rewiring assistance or planned to modify the item themselves.
