Apoteker table lamp – opaline glass
Apoteker table lamp in opaline glass, Denmark, 1980s.
The lamp is produced by Holmegaard and designed by Sidse Werner. The cylindrical bottle form references traditional pharmacy jars and is executed in mouth-blown white opaline glass.
The thick glass body diffuses the light softly and creates a calm lighting object typical of Danish late 20th century lighting design. Holmegaard was at the time part of the Royal Copenhagen group.
A compact lamp suitable for bedside tables, shelves or soft ambient lighting.
