Sculptural STOOL in black lacquered steel, attributed to Danish architects Claus Bonderup & Torsten Thorup for Italian manufacturer Rapsel, 1972.

Designed with the characteristic low cantilever construction, formed by sweeping tubular steel curves and a semi-circular upper surface composed of slender steel rods.

Originally conceived as a stool, the sculptural proportions and functional upper surface also make it particularly striking as a side table or bedside table.

An iconic 1970s Space Age design, combining strong graphic geometry with an exceptionally light, almost floating expression.
