Danish teak secretary desk produced by Storgaard Nielsen Møbelfabrik in Herning, Denmark, c. 1960s.
A refined and highly functional Danish Modern design combining a writing desk, generous drawer storage and an upper cabinet in one compact piece.
The upper section features a hinged cabinet alongside four slim drawers, while the writing surface opens to create a practical workspace. The cabinet door incorporates a mirror, adding an unusual vanity function to the design.
Below are four full-width drawers with characteristic sculpted teak handles. The gently curved side profiles, warm teak grain and tapered legs give the substantial cabinet an elegant and distinctly Scandinavian expression.
Traditional dovetail construction can be seen in the drawers.
